This was my first time hunting wild pheasants, and it was a lot of fun. The day before we arrived it snowed a foot and a half. Due to this snow, the first day the birds held really well, allowing us to bag quite a few. As the snow began to melt, the roads started getting muddy and the birds began to run.

For two seasons, I was the Kennel Manager at Halliburton's Mota Bonita Lodge on the Encino Division of the King Ranch. This was an amazing learning experience. I have hundreds of photos from my time on the ranch, but below are just a few of my favorites.
